1 hour sessions are typically done outdoors. Studio sessions are also available.

FAQ
What should we wear?
Depending on the time of year - I have lots of suggestions here. In spring, pastels, ivory, khakis, and lighter colors photograph best. In fall, jewel tones really pop. Year round, avoid loud prints and being too matchy-matchy. Choose coordinating colors over everyone wearing the same combination (white shirts, blue jeans, etc). When photographing newborn families, I find lighter color palettes (again, pastels) to photograph best against newborn skin tones. If ever in doubt, I love to help - so just shoot me a text and I'll help you decide.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I live in Commerce Township and my studio is in Birmingham. I will travel up to 50 miles (round trip) without a fee from my home address. After 50 miles, I charge $1 per mile which will be applied to your final invoice.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive a "sneak peek" within the first few days following your session and an online gallery link with all your edited photos within 2 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season). You will be able to download all of your photos, share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints all from your gallery.
How many pictures will we receive?
I do not limit the amount of photos you will receive per session. I typically choose quality over quantity, and won't deliver unflattering photos. No one wants to see double chins and closed eyes. But to help you prepare for expectations, mini sessions will deliver anywhere between 20-30 images, hour long sessions 40-60, newborn studio sessions 20+, home/lifestyle sessions 30+, etc. For approx 8 hours of wedding day coverage, you will receive between 400 to 600 fully edited images. Just remember - when you hire a photographer, you are trusting them to choose the photos that will tell your story and that trust is so important.
Can we bring/include our dog(s)/cat(s)/pet(s)?
Most often, the answer is YES! Please check with me to make sure our location allows them first though. While I am comfortable with cats and dogs in your home or even in my studio, let's chat first so that we plan/prepare. Especially when introducing a new baby. There is a lot of change and I want to make sure we are making the right decision for you (and your stress level).
